Description

Bertani’s impact on Veneto wine making, particularly in Amarone production, is so considerable that ‘Bertani’ and ‘Amarone’ are nearly synonymous. Their 150+ year history is dotted with groundbreaking initiatives and royal accreditation. While respectful of their past, Bertani strives towards innovation, using progressive techniques and equipment allied with extensive experience and a deeply felt respect for tradition to provide wines of uncompromising quality.

The vines of the Ripasso are cultivated using the “spalliera”method and the pruning is done using the “Guyot” method with a density of 5.000 bases/ha. From the Tenuta Novare, Valpolicella Classica and Valpantena vineyards. Soil calcareous-marl, clay and basalt.

Tasting Notes

Blend: 80% Corvina Veronese, 20% Rondinella

Purple-red intense colour, with hints of violet. Blueberry and leather notes, with prominent oak tones yet good
fruit concentration. Crisp acidity, and crunchy young tannin. In the mouth this wine is sweet, full and round. Soft even if it maintains an intense nerve, with a sapid and long lasting aftertaste.

Serving Suggestions

Best when paired with hearty dishes like roasted veal or lamb or braised or barbecued red meats like steak, sausage and game.
