Description
Description
Famous worldwide, Corton is the only red Grand Cru appellation in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyard is located to the north of Beaune on a gently-sloped hillside exposed southeast. The vines flourish here on stony soil with a dominance of clay which is typically characteristic of the Corton wines. History tells us that the name of this appellation was given by the Emperor Othon in the 8th Century.
