Vintage: 2018

Grape Blend: 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon

An Intense ruby red color that leads to a full and enveloping bouquet and pallet of purple and red fruits with hints of cedar, vanilla and vibrant herbal tones. Mediumto-full bodied with lots of fleshy fruit expression wrapped around elegant and very approachable tannins. There is a hint of “wild Tuscany” in the wine that adds to its personality. The finish is pleasantly long and lingering.

Description

Description

Ciacci Piccolmini is one of the most sought-after producers in all of Italy. This ancient estate has 35 hectares
of superior holdings in the prized Castelnuovo dell’Abate zone, including the ‘Pianrosso’ vineyard (meaning
‘red field,’ a reference to the iron rich soils) and the ‘Fonte’ vineyard, which produces grapes for the Rosso di
Montalcino.

In 1985 the countess Elda Ciacci bequeathed the entire property to Giuseppe Bianchini, farmer of the estate since a lot of years, applying a completely brand new and forefront philosophy production for that period, increasing quantity, quality of wines and opening the export worldwide. Giuseppe, unfortunately passed away in February 2004, left the business to his son and daughter, Paolo and Lucia.
