Château Lynch Bages, 2008
Availability:Out of stock
Vintage: 2008
Size: 750ml
Ratings: Robert Parker Wine Advocate 92, James Suckling 93, Wine Enthusiast 94, Decanter 93
Grape Blend: 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot & 7% Cab Franc
The Lynch Bages 2008 is very well defined on the nose with more red instead of black fruits, graphite and sous-bois intermingling with touches kirsch and cassis. This is a little showy compared to previous bottles that I have encountered. The palate is well balanced with a little hardness on the entry, understandable at this stage. Quite tight at the moment, nice freshness with a long tail on the finish, this is a fine, upstanding, conservative Pauillac.

Description
Description
One of the best known and well liked Paulliac 5th Growths. The first writings that mention the lands of “Batges” date back to the 16th century. Located at the entrance of Pauillac, these lands were home to generations of wine growers for centuries.
In 2007, Jean-Charles takes over the family estates and launches a renovation project with architect Chien Chung (Didi) Pei. Marking four centuries of history and the culmination of four years’ hard work, the 2020 vintage, the first in the renovated cellars, has opened a new chapter in the life of the estate.
