Description

Jeanne of Naples, Countess of Provence, known as "Queen Jeanne", sold the town of Avignon to Clement VI, who cleared her of all suspicion when accused of the assassination of her first husband. At the time of the great schism, she in turn supported the Pope of Avignon against Urban VI. This cuvée is the image of this strong and passionate woman, an intense and fresh wine with aromas of white fruit and exotic fruits. Southern Rhône Valley - north of Avignon - in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and 4 neighbouring villages.

Tasting Notes

Blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc & Roussanne

Golden colour with green highlights. Complex nose with aromas of white fruits (peach, apricot) and exotic fruits (pineapple, mango). Ample and powerful palate, a nice fruity length. Very round and subtle acidity making it a good companion for food.

Serving Suggestions

Perfect with fish, white meat and goats cheese.
