Casisano’s Brunello di Montalcino is distinguished by its elegance and its deep ruby red colour. It presents a good concentration on the mid-palate and a persistent aftertaste, with a rounded and voluptuous body, and interesting, silky tannins.
It unites potency and elegance and looks like having a promising future. With its tempting perfumes of red berries and its clean freshness, the complexity of this wine presents an excellent balance.
To fully appreciate its qualities, decant the wine at least one hour before serving.

Size:750ml
Rating: James Suckling 92, Wine Spectator 93, Decanter 92, Neal Martin 91, Gambero Rosso 3 Glasses, Vivino 4.3
A deep, intense ruby with tinges of garnet, it offers a fine, complex nose, in which the fruit combines with a sweet spiciness deriving from its long aging. On the palate it is austere, with ripe, velvety tannins producing an excellent balance between great structure and elegance. The finish is fresh and harmonious.

Description
VINTAGE 2016 (5 Star Vintage)
The beginning of 2016 saw an increase in precipitation, but a complete absence of snow. Spring was characterized by average temperatures and rains, which started to become more and more scarce in the middle of June, the last ten days of which were very sunny with good ventilation.
This seasonal trend brought the plants to an excellent vegetative balance. The summer passed with little rain and excellent diurnal temperature variations, especially between August and September. These conditions, combined with good ventilation, allowed for a harvest of healthy grapes with important organoleptic characteristics.
The harvest ended in mid-October, benefitting from long dry and well-ventilated periods. The harvested grapes thus manifested a remarkable complexity of aromas, elegant tannins and excellent natural acidity. All features that immediately indicated a vintage of the highest quality

Serving Suggestions
Its full-bodied yet elegant style (resulting from its long maturation) make it ideal for accompanying rich dishes such as red meats, braised meats and game, particularly when served with mushrooms or truffles. Excellent with very mature cheeses.
