Founded since 1902 in Valpolicella Classica, Tommasi Winery is a family-owned estate renowned for crafting elegant Amarone and Ripasso wines. Combining tradition with innovation, the Tommasi family manages vineyards across Italy, emphasizing sustainability, terroir expression, and craftsmanship that reflect over a century of passion for fine Italian winemaking.
The Tommasi family's journey started when Giacomo Tommasi acquired a small parcel of land in Valpolicella Classica. In 1920, Giacomo Tommasi negotiates the title to the sharecropper lands from the Counts Campostrini Boccoli and the historic home which is still shown on the Amarone labels. By 1940, With the second generation, the sharecropper contract is concluded and the Tommasi family gains full ownership of the property.
The first official vintage of Tommasi Amarone Classico is created in 1959, from the natural "appassimento" of the Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. Every vintage since then has been a continuous research to produce better wine, while remaining faithful to the winemaking principles of the founder, Giacomo.
From 1970, With the construction of the new winery, Tommasi consolidates sales in Italy, and begins their distribution abroad.

By 1997, The fourth generation officially enters into key positions in the company. With them, begins the project Tommasi Family Estates, a plan to expand the company's holdings. Vineyards were purchased in the Valpolicella and in other prime wine regions beyond the Veneto, such as in the Tuscan Maremma with Poggio al Tufo.
Tommasi's daily commitment to the production of fine wines continues. We aim to be a benchmark for excellence in Italian winemaking, and to delight wine enthusiasts with every glass poured.
