The Burg Ravensburg vineyards were first mentioned in writing in 1251, placing them among the oldest vineyards in the world. They also represent some of the world's most famous single sites.

Located on the southwestern and southeastern slopes, they bear historically significant names: the Riesling-dominated HUSARENKAPPE and KAPELLENBERG, the Pinot-bearing LÖCHLE and the DICKER FRANZ with its Blaufränkisch vines.

The wine is dry with a powerful core, despite having high, vibrant acidity. It is characterized by a "stony" or "mineral-driven" mouthfeel with good extract and traction. The finish is usually long, complex, and refreshing, often highlighting mineral spice.

A perfect choice with strong dishes with butter sauces, salmon, veal, duck, pasta and risotto with white truffles.
