Description

Mr Emile and Philippe CASTEJA decided to create the second wine of Chateau de Lynch Moussas as from the 2001 vintage.

This manuel-harvested wine received constant care and was brought up through a long vinification. It is a good introduction to the first wine Lynch Moussas.

Chateau Hauts de Lynch Moussas, whose name comes from the vineyard overhanging the estate has arisen from younger plots that could not join the ones of the main Chateau de Lynch Moussas
Tasting Notes

Blend Ratio (Estimate): Cabernet Sauvignon 75%; Merlot 25%

Beautiful deep ruby colour, its fruity nose. The start is fresh and full-bodied, with a significant length in the mouth. Full-bodied on the palate with firm tannins and warming alcohol; flavours of cedar, black currant and tobacco in a medium finish. After a few years of aging, the tannins melt, revealing an elegant, supple wine best enjoyed over a good conversation with friends
Serving Suggestions

Best served with all types of classic meat dishes like pork, beef, lamb, duck, chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes. Also good with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms and pasta.
