Domaine Camus , Gevrey Chambertin 2019

As owner of the largest holdings of grand cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, Hubert Camus is known for incredible wines. The Camus family has been producing wines in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1832. The domaine is made up of 18 hectares (two-thirds of it being grand cru). Camus is the grand cru master and one of the most respected winemakers in Burgundy.

He was the founding president of the BIVB, and would go on to become a three-time president. Hubert Camus still uses the old school methods that have been passed down from his ancestors: hand-picking, traditional vinification, 14-18 months’ “elevage” in oak barrels.
