Description

The Domaine de la Poulette is a family-run estate combining tradition and modernity, which only sells wines produced on the estate. The reds range from Bourgogne to Vosne-Romanée, and include Côtes de Nuits Villages and Nuits-Saint-Georges, including some Premier Crus. Recognized as wines for laying down, they regularly win medals for excellence.
Tasting Notes

Aromas of cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant, and when matured, leather, truffle, fur, game. Notes of macerated fruits (prune) complete the picture. Muscular and vigorous, chewy and full-bodied, its structure is both well built and well-balanced and it is long in the mouth.

It is most fully enjoyed after several years’ laying down which rounds it out and underlines its sensuality and breeding.
Serving Suggestions

Pairs wondefully with full-flavoured meat likeroast lamb, rib steak, or breast of fattened duck. Also can be enjoyed with soft centred cheeses in the style of Époisses, Langres or Soumaintrain.
