Fanti, Brunello di Montalcino, DOCG 2020

Tenuta Fanti is a prominent, family-run estate located in the southern part of Montalcino, near the village of Castelnuovo dell'Abate. It is widely regarded as a "benchmark" producer for the region, balancing deep historical roots with a very modern, gravity-flow winery.

The Fanti family has owned the land since 1800. In the early 1970s, Filippo Fanti took over and shifted the focus toward high-quality viticulture. Today, he runs the estate with his daughter, Elisa.

The property spans 300 hectares, but only about 50 hectares are dedicated to vineyards. The rest consists of olive groves (producing highly-rated extra virgin olive oil), forests, and seed plots. The winery practices sustainable farming, avoiding chemical fertilizers and pesticides in favor of organic fertilizers and mechanical weeding.
