Description

From the 17th century to the modern day, ten generations of owners have succeeded each other and left their stamp upon the history of Château Lascombes. A destiny paved along its way with colourful characters, who all contributed to the excellence of the wines of Château Lascombes.

The Château Lascombes vineyard covers 120 hectares (296 acres) in the Margaux appellation, as well as 10 hectares (24 acres) in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Today, it is one of the largest vineyards among the classified growths of 1855.

Tasting Notes

Grape Blend: 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot

The fine, complex nose, though still discreet, reveals very subtle notes of well-ripened black fruits mingling with various spices. Very concentrated and powerful on the palate while also very round and smooth. Black fruits and chocolate come to the fore and a dense, tannic mouth-feel proves already pleasant and quite well-integrated. The length on the palate leaves the taste buds salivating. Château Lascombes 2004 is a concentrated, stylish and brooding wine.
