Description

Château Lynch-Bages (Cinquièmes Cru) is a renowned Classified Fifth Growth Bordeaux wine estate famous for its consistently high-quality, classic red wines.
Located in Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde, the estate extends over about one hundred hectares. The vines are on the Bages plateau, one of the most beautiful gravelly ridges of the appellation and the vineyards neighbor Châteaux Mouton Rothschild and Latour benefits.
The origins of the estate date back to the 16th century. In the 18th century, Irishman Michel Lynch shaped the property by selecting the best grape varieties and innovating in viticulture. Remaining in the Lynch family for 75 years, the estate changed hands in the 19th century, before Jean-Charles Cazes took over its management in 1939, opening a new era. Since then, the Cazes family has continuously modernized the vineyard and strengthened the château's reputation.
Known for delivering outstanding quality across many vintages, Château Lynch-Bages has a very strong reputation.

Tasting Notes

Blend: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot

A true classic from this estate, the 2019 Lynch-Bages has turned out brilliantly, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis and sweet blackberry fruit mingled with licorice, mint, cigar wrapper and loamy soil. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's a deep, multidimensional wine built around a chassis of rich, powdery tannins and succulent balancing acids. Drink Date 2029 - 2065
