Clementine De Pape Clement, 2nd Wine of Ch. Pape Clement 2019

Established in the Pessac-Léognan appellation since the 13th century, Château Pape Clément is an iconic Cru Classé and one of the greatest fine wines of Bordeaux. The first recorded grape harvest took place in 1252! As you might have guessed, the chateau is named after the property’s most famous owner, who was a Pope! In 1305 the Cardinals elected Bertrand de Goth the Pope. He was renamed Clement V, which is where the Bordeaux property took its historic name. Clémentin de Pape Clément Red is the second red wine of the estate.
