"Lions de Batailley" is the second wine of Château Batailley and draws its name from the two Lions who guard the gates of Château Batailley's main entrance.

Château Batailley, a 5th Grand Cru Classé of the classification of 1855, is the Castéja family's and Borie-Manoux’s flagship. It is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. Lions de Batailley comes mainly from young vines (10-40 years old), as well as from vines issued from non-associated plots in the final Grand Vin blend

Blend Ratio (Estimate): 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc

This incredibly complex wine touches multiple flavor notes including cherry, cassis, spice, cedar and espresso, packaged in a medium body. Balanced, silky tannins with acidity and length. It is a wine that drinks easily young, but will also age well.
