Description

Vosne-Romanée is an emblematic village in the Côte de Nuits, the reason being that no fewer than 6 Grand Crus are produced from this legendary terroir. The monks of the nearby Saint Vivant Abbey near the village of Vergy in the "Hautes-Côtes" area cultivated these world-famous vineyards almost 1,000 years ago.

Tasting Notes

A redolent nose of stewed fruit, nutmeg and leather illustrates the extraordinary results that Pinot Noir can offer when grown in Burgundy's best vineyards. Mastered powerfulness. Smooth, delicate, complex and very elegant. The finish is long, very long... a truly great wine.

Serving Suggestions

Ideal with finely prepared cuts of red meat, all types of game, marinades, stews and strong, sophisticated cheeses.

Serve between 16° and 17°C (60°F - 63°F). This wine may be enjoyed now or laid down for 7 to 10 years or more.
